Full-day progression courses
Move from core roadcraft to advanced riding
Bronze, Silver and Gold form a clear progression. The right starting point depends on your current licence, recent riding and comfort at open-road speeds.
Bronze
Core road skills and CBTA Restricted preparation
For learner riders who are ready for urban streets and open roads, Restricted riders wanting stronger foundations, or riders returning after a long break.
- Road positioning
- Selecting the right speed and gear
- Braking skills
- Smooth control and U-turns
- Urban and open-road riding
Before attending: be comfortable riding on highways up to 100km/h and use a motorcycle capable of doing so. Absolute beginners should start with learner or personal training.
Silver
Intermediate open-road Roadcraft

- Vanishing and reference points
- Smoother, more proficient cornering

Ride Forever FAQs
Questions before you book
Which course should a brand-new rider choose?
Ride Forever courses are on-road coaching, so you must already be able to control your motorcycle. After gaining your learner licence, Motorbike Skills is the gentlest introduction to traffic. Choose personal learner training first if you cannot yet ride competently.
Can I start at Silver without doing Bronze?
Yes, when your licence, experience and open-road confidence suit Silver. Experienced or returning riders who have not completed Ride Forever coaching may also find Silver the right starting point.
Do I need my own motorcycle?
Your own roadworthy motorcycle is preferable. Passmasters bike hire may be available for selected Bronze and Silver courses and locations, subject to eligibility and availability.
Is Ride Forever an assessment?
No. It is practical coaching rather than a pass-or-fail test. The goal is to identify strengths, improve skills and give you techniques to practise after the course.
Will a course help with my motorcycle licence?
Yes. Bronze supports the competencies used for CBTA Restricted, while Silver is strong preparation for CBTA Full. The course itself does not issue a licence or CBTA certificate.
How often can I attend?
The official programme allows a maximum of two Ride Forever on-road courses per year, with no more than one Gold course per year.
