First-time rider? Our motorcycle hire and training for beginners in Hobsonville and Pukekohe is the perfect way to start your riding journey.
If you haven’t bought your first bike yet – or you’re not sure which one’s right for you – we’ve got you covered.
Our fleet of LAMS-approved hire bikes is ideal for learners, return riders, and anyone who wants to get confident on two wheels before committing.

Bike Hire for Learner (6L) Courses
When you book your Basic Handling Skills (BHS) test, we’ll provide:

A LAMS-approved motorcycle

Helmet and gloves (or bring your own if you prefer). Largest helmet size we offer is a 2XL.
You can use your own bike for the BHS test – but it must be LAMS-approved.
Passmasters – making it easy for new riders to start safe, ride smart, and choose the right bike.

If you’re new to riding, the GSX150 is like that chilled mate who never makes a fuss. Super light, easy to handle, and forgiving if your clutch control is more “learning” than “expert.”
Pros:

Feather-light for effortless slow-speed manoeuvres

Cheap on fuel (you’ll barely notice the needle move)

Perfect for shorter riders or those who want maximum confidence at low speeds
Cons:

You’ll outgrow it if you plan to hit motorways regularly

SUZUKI GSX250

The GSX250 is the GSX150’s older sibling – still friendly, still easy to ride, but with a bit more grunt for open-road stretches.

Yes, you can ride a Harley as a learner. The Harley-Davidson X 350 is LAMS-approved and surprisingly learner-friendly – with that famous Harley style and sound.
