WHAT DOES THE CBTA INVOLVE?
The assessment is designed to ensure that you are competent in an array of riding skills. The assessment is conducted with your assessor following you on a motorcycle. Your riding skills will be assessed throughout the entire duration of the ride. We use top of the range 2-way Bluetooth Intercom systems for your safety.
HOW LONG DOES THE CBTA TAKE?
The Full licence stage assessment takes between 25-30 minutes riding time, which allows for a comprehensive assessment of your riding skills in higher speed zoned areas. You should allow up to 1 hr to complete your 6F including the briefing and paperwork.
DO I NEED TRAINING PRIOR TO SITTING THE CBTA?
Although training isn’t compulsory, to prepare yourself in the best way possible, it is highly recommended that all applicants undertake some form of training before attempting the assessment ride.
We would recommend that you attend one of our Ride Forever Silver courses as it is designed to support riders attempting their 6R assessment. The best bit? it’s only $50.
